Student Organization Advisor Orientation - Memorial Union TITU

This workshop is designed for anyone who advises student organizations. Topics covered will include: a student organization advisor’s roles and expectations and student organization advisor’s resources. There will also be time for general or specific questions.

Student Organization Advisor Risk Management Workshop - Memorial Union TITU
Friday, October 16th | 11am - 1pm
This workshop is designed to help organization advisors understand relevant State and University policies that commonly affect student organizations. Participants will also have an opportunity to work in small groups to discuss real-life scenarios using risk management tools presented at the workshop. Jeanine Critchley from UW Risk Management and Ben Griffiths from UW Legal Services will be there to add their perspectives on the scenarios as well. Dinner will be provided at this event as a way to say thank you for all that advisors do for student organizations.

Student Organization Advisor Networking Opportunity - MSC Lounge - Red Gym

Come join your fellow student organization advisors for time to reflect on the semester and your work with your student organizations. A few activities and guiding questions will help start the discussion and then it will be time for you to gain what you need from other advisors.

Student Organization Advisor Funding Workshop - Memorial Union TITU
Friday, February 12th | 11:30am - 1pm
Led by Mark Kueppers, Student Organization Advisor, this workshop is designed to help student organization advisors work with their groups to develop sound financial practices and identify funding sources that are consistent with their program/event. Participants will receive information on different funding opportunities on campus and learn how to best manage their fiscal resources. In addition, participants will have time to ask general or specific questions.

Student Organization Advisor Technology Workshop - Memorial Union TITU
Friday, March 12th | 3 - 4:30pm
Led by students currently in student organizations, this workshop is designed to help advisors understand how students are using technology every day. Come prepared with questions for the students. Participants should walk away with ideas about how to better engage students using technology.
